This is it. Haha. Before getting in the car to go for the interview
Then, I got into the car and we are on our way to Kolej Poly-tech MARA, Bangi. All the way, all I did was 'selawat'. Fuh. Nervous. Nervous. Nervous. The only thing that was in my mind. A few minutes after that. Tadaa! I arrived. Tried to kept on smiling because mom always said that by smiling, you can throw away your nervousness. and it really worked. So try it!
Baba parked the car and we are in our way to register. There were 12 tables. Each of them represents 1 panel. I was panel 12. I went to the table and an officer was sitting behind the table. Then I asked.
"Boleh daftar sekarang?"
He just nodded and I wrote my name on the candidates' list. Saw a few other names, earlier than me. Okay, after I had registered, I waited at a wood bench with mom and dad. Had to wait for a few minutes because the candidates from the 9:00a.m. interview haven't finished yet.
..................................................................................................
CHARGE!!!!!!!!! WAR!!!!!!!
The time has come. They called for us.
Relax.. Relax.. Relax..
AMALINA BINTI BADROL HISHAM. Insya-Allah you can do it babe!
Got to know my group mates. I don't quite remember what their names were. One was Shazween and another one was Fatinah. I think. So, blablabla. We got into the interview room and sat on the chairs provided according to our numbers. My group members consist of 3 boys and 5 girls. That would make a total of 8.
THE INTERVIEW (mine okay. I don't know how yours would be)
3 interviewers. The three of them were women. MARA officers I think. They don't speak that good in English (sorry to say #itsthefact)
We were first given a brief explanation on what we will do. Then, we got these PURPLE colored A4 papers. One for each 2 candidates (means that we have to share). So we read the instructions and what we were needed to do was solve a case. It kind of sound like this.
You are the only doctor on call. You have 2 patients that had been involved in a serious accident. One is a 20 years old and the other is 60 years old. 20 years old patient : Outstanding in his studies and is the breadwinner for his family after his father died. 60 years old patient : A very successful businessman that has contributed a lot of things to the nation and the society. WHICH ONE WOULD BE YOUR PRIORITY TO SAVE FIRST?
So, we had been given a few minutes to discuss and come out with some relevant points. I come out with mine, and discussed with my other group mates. It depends all of us whether we wanted it to be a normal group discussion, or instead, a DEBATE. Wohoo! All of us said what had to be said. The DEBATE lasted for a half-an-hour. After that, comes the Q&A session with the interviewers. All the questions asked are basic questions. I've already practiced them with mom. Totally the same. Seriously. As stated in other ex-candidates' blog.
Why do you choose dentistry? Was your opinion accepted by your group members? Who do you think is the leader of your group? Why do you say so? Do you think this exercise is good? What do you learn from it? Are you a leader or are you a follower?
There were more, but these were all I could remember.
Not long after that, the interviewers said..
"THANK YOU. YOU MAY GO NOW"
When those words were said, I was like ARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!
(from the inside of course)
Finally! the interview was DONE! Alhamdulillah.. So happy! I went out of the room and said thanks to all of my group mates. They we're awesome too. After that, I went to mama and baba and told them everything about the interview. haha. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! Alhamdulillah.. Ya Allah.. Syukur..
Well, I did my best. Now I just have to pray and tawakal. Insya-Allah. Do pray for me guys ;)
Sincerely, Ceres Apple
